Have your say in the government consultation

The Government's consultation on the future of local government in Norfolk runs until 11 January 2026.

The government is encouraging people to take part online.  If you, or someone you know, does not have online access, you are welcome to use the public-access computers available at local libraries.

Paper copies of the response form can also be requested by calling your council, and they are also in the reception of each main council building. However, you must post your response to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to be counted.

The Government is expected to make its final decision in the spring 2026 with elections to the new shadow council(s) in May 2027 and the council(s) going live in April 2028.
